Increased safety for cyclists and scooterists: Kögel Road Safety warns road users when turning right
Together with its technology partners, Kögel has developed the Kögel Road Safety (KRS) assistance system. The aim was to improve road safety for “vulnerable road users”. KRS does this by sending a warning signal to smartphones with the KRS app or a special wristband via the indicator on the trailer. These devices, which will in future include smartwatches, warn cyclists, scooterists and pedestrians in the direct vicinity when the truck is turning right. The expert jury of the renowned Trailer Innovation Award has highlighted the relevance of such a system by awarding it first place in the “Safety” category for 2023. Especially in city centres, this scenario is a common…

Optimised lightweight construction and simple operation: Kögel Port series achieves outstanding values
For the IAA Transportation 2022, Kögel is optimising the Port container chassis series. The new front extension of the Duplex series is not only extremely light, but low-maintenance too. In conjunction with the weight-optimised frame, it weighs up to 700 kilograms less than the previous generation. After the IAA Transportation 2022, all chassis series will be based on the new chassis generation, previously only featured in the award-winning, multifunctional Port 45 Triplex chassis. Container chassis in the Duplex series now feature Kögel’s very own one-piece front extension, mounted on four rollers, which has been used successfully on the Port 45 Triplex for several years already. It is not only low-maintenance…

Kögel Multi Container Stop: Revolutionising container transport
Kögel’s Multi Container Stop makes the transport of swap bodies by road significantly easier. Unlike conventional container locking mechanisms, it is perfectly intuitive to operate, ensures greater convenience and work safety, and unlocks considerable payload benefits. In addition, the entire Port series will now be much lighter thanks to the new chassis generation. The simple yet brilliant concept of the Kögel Multi Container Stop (MCS) is revolutionising road transport of all types of swap bodies. Thanks to the MCS, there is no need for conventional “twist lock” container locking mechanisms on the front of the swap chassis. From now on, the load will be secured exclusively via positive form locking,…
