Krones improved all key financial figures in 2024 – Executive Board forecasts continuation of profitable growth in 2025
Due to customers’ continued willingness to invest, Krones increased its order intake compared to the previous year’s high level by 1.6% to €5,460.7 million. At €4,289.5 million as of the end of 2024, the order backlog was up 4.1% on the previous year. Despite persistently high costs, Krones has significantly strengthened profitability. EBITDA improved by 17.5% in 2024 to €537.1 million. The EBITDA margin rose from 9.7% in the previous year to 10.1%. Free cash flow was significantly higher than the level of the previous year. Den Auftragseingang steigerte Krones aufgrund der weiterhin guten Investitionsbereitschaft der Kunden im Vergleich zum hohen Vorjahresniveau um 1,6 % auf 5.460,7 Mio. Euro. Der Auftragsbestand lag Ende 2024 mit 4.289,5 Mio. Euro um 4,1 % über dem Vorjahr. Trotz anhaltend hoher Kosten hat Krones die Ertragskraft deutlich gestärkt. Das EBITDA verbesserte sich 2024 um 17,5 % auf 537,1 Mio. Euro. Die EBITDA-Marge stieg von 9,7 % im Vorjahr auf 10,1 %. Der Free Cashflow lag deutlich über dem Vorjahreswert. Demand for Krones’ products and services remains robust. From April to June 2024, order intake increased by 2.9% to €1,310.2 million, exceeding the already high level of the previous year (€1,272.8 million). The contract value of orders in the first six months of 2024 increased by 0.3% over the strong prior year to €2,792.9 million. As expected, Krones’ revenue growth accelerated significantly in the second quarter of 2024 (+16.7%) compared to the first quarter of 2024 (+4.0%). Krones Recycling is spun off as an independent subsidiary company
On 1 July 2024, Krones Recycling GmbH, under the management of Dr Michael Gotsche, commenced business operations with headquarters in Flensburg.
