Linde (Nasdaq: LIN) announced today that it has been recognized by S&P Global as a sustainability leader, achieving the highest score of any industrial gas company in the 2023 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)*. Linde Declares Dividend in Fourth Quarter 2023 and New $15 Billion Share Repurchase Program
Linde plc (NYSE: LIN) announced its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $1.275 per share. The dividend is payable on December 18, 2023 to shareholders of record on December 4, 2023. The Board of Directors also approved a new share repurchase program for up to $15 billion of Linde’s ordinary shares. The company has $2 billion of repurchase authority available under its previously announced buyback authorization from February 2022, giving it $17 billion available for stock repurchases under these programs. Linde and Heidelberg Materials Announce Large-Scale Carbon Capture Project
Linde (NYSE: LIN) today announced it has signed an agreement with Heidelberg Materials, one of the world’s largest building materials companies, to jointly build, own and operate a large-scale carbon capture and liquefaction facility. Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a by-product of cement production and is estimated to be responsible for around 7% of global carbon emissions1. Through the use of carbon capture, Linde and Heidelberg Materials will aim to reduce carbon emissions at Heidelberg’s Lengfurt plant in Germany. Linde to Increase Green Hydrogen Production in California
Linde (NYSE:LIN; FWB:LIN) announced today plans to increase its green hydrogen production capacity in Ontario, California, in response to growing demand from the mobility market. Linde will build, own and operate the first of several planned five-megawatt PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolyzers to increase its hydrogen capacity. Following this initial investment, the new electrolyzer together with the existing plant will produce enough green hydrogen to avoid up to 75,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions per year.
