Linde Signs Second Long-Term Agreement to Supply Samsung in Pyeongtaek, South Korea
Linde (NYSE:LIN; FWB:LIN) announced today that it has entered into a long-term agreement with Samsung Electronics to supply ultra-high purity industrial gases for its latest semiconductor facilities in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. Linde is currently the main supplier of industrial gases to Samsung’s existing facilities in Pyeongtaek. This second agreement to build, own and operate air separation plants in this latest world-class manufacturing complex cements Linde’s position as a strategic partner for Samsung, the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturer. Linde Starts Up New Plants for Major Electronics Customer in Taiwan
Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) announced today that it has started up a new air separation unit (ASU) and the first of three nitrogen generators, as part of a 15-year contract to supply ultra-high purity industrial gases to a major electronics customer in Taiwan. Built and operated by Linde’s joint venture Linde LienHwa (LLH), the project will support a multi-billion-dollar wafer fab expansion in Tainan Science Park, Taiwan. Linde to Build and Operate World’s First Hydrogen Refueling Station for Passenger Trains
Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) today announced it will start construction of the world’s first hydrogen refueling station for passenger trains in Bremervörde, Germany, in September. The construction follows the successful eighteen-month trial of the world’s first two hydrogen trains in the region, which was completed earlier this year. Linde will build and operate the hydrogen filling station, which is expected to start service in early 2022. The station will fuel 14 hydrogen-powered passenger trains which will be supplied by Alstom to the regional rail traffic provider, LNVG, and will use the network of regional railway company EVB. Linde Starts Up Plants to Supply Celanese and Other Customers in the U.S. Gulf Coast
Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) today announced it has started up a state-of-the-art hydrogen and carbon monoxide facility in Clear Lake, Texas (TX), as well as a new air separation unit in LaPorte, TX. The plants will supply oxygen, nitrogen and carbon monoxide to Celanese, under a previously announced long-term agreement, and hydrogen to other customers via Linde’s U.S. Gulf Coast pipeline system.
