RWE hands over LNG infrastructure in Brunsbüttel to Deutsche Energy Terminal
On 1 January 2024, RWE will hand over the LNG infrastructure built in Brunsbüttel to the federally owned Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET) as planned, around ten months after the first LNG import flow. Liquefied gas delivered by LNG tankers is fed into the German gas grid after being regasified via a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). DET is the authorised operator of the FSRU terminal in Brunsbüttel and is also responsible for its capacity marketing. RWE übergibt LNG-Infrastruktur in Brunsbüttel an Deutsche Energy Terminal
Zum 1. Januar 2024, rund zehn Monate nach dem ersten LNG-Import, wird RWE planmäßig die in Brunsbüttel errichtete LNG-Infrastruktur an die bundeseigene Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET) übergeben. Über eine so genannte Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) wird Flüssiggas aus LNG-Tankern nach der Regasifizierung in das deutsche Gasnetz eingespeist. Die DET ist die genehmigungsrechtliche Betreiberin des FSRU-Terminals in Brunsbüttel und auch für dessen Kapazitätsvermarktung verantwortlich. RWE signs new supply agreement for natural gas with Norwegian energy company Equinor
RWE and Equinor have signed a new supply contract for between 10 and 15 terawatt hours (TWh) of natural gas per year from now until 2028. This new bilateral agreement builds upon the long-standing relationship between RWE and Equinor. The contract is priced at market terms and the gas will be delivered to Germany’s virtual trading hub THE (Trading Hub Europe). RWE unterzeichnet neuen Liefervertrag für Erdgas mit norwegischem Energieunternehmen Equinor
RWE und Equinor haben einen neuen Liefervertrag über 10 bis 15 Terawattstunden (TWh) Erdgas pro Jahr bis 2028 unterzeichnet. RWE and Ocean Breeze Energy sign green PPA for Offshore Windfarm BARD Offshore 1
RWE Supply & Trading and Ocean Breeze Energy, owner and operator of the offshore wind farm BARD Offshore 1, have entered into a long-term green power purchase agreement. As early as April 2023, RWE Supply & Trading will market the wind farm’s electricity production under the direct marketing scheme. From 2026, the wind turbines are to be gradually switched to a fixed price regime. The contract runs until 2030. The wind farm is located 100 km off the German North Sea coast, north of the island of Borkum. Its 80 wind turbines have an installed capacity of 400 megawatts (MW), enough to meet the electricity needs of around 463,000 households.…

RWE Supply & Trading und Ocean Breeze Energy, Eigentümer und Betreiber des Offshore-Windparks BARD Offshore 1, haben einen langfristigen Grünstromabnahmevertrag (Power Purchase Agreement, PPA) geschlossen. Bereits ab April 2023 wird RWE die Direktvermarktung der Stromproduktion des Windparks übernehmen; ab 2026 sollen die Anlagen schrittweise auf ein Festpreisregime umgestellt werden. Der Vertrag läuft bis 2030. Der Windpark befindet sich 100 km vor der deutschen Nordseeküste, nördlich der Insel Borkum. RWE, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corporation (LOTTE) und Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) haben eine strategische Allianz zur langfristigen Entwicklung von weltweit stabilen Lieferketten für nachhaltiges (grünes und blaues) Ammoniak vereinbart. Im Rahmen dieser Allianz haben RWE, LOTTE und MC vereinbart, gemeinsam eine Studie zur Entwicklung eines integrierten Großprojekts im Hafen von Corpus Christi (Texas, USA) durchzuführen. Green electricity from Nordsee Ost and Amrumbank West wind farms for 12 large customers from 2025
From 2025 and 2026 respectively, RWE’s Nordsee Ost and Amrumbank West offshore wind farms will supply eleven German industrial customers and one large municipal utility with green electricity. The relevant agreements were signed between RWE Supply & Trading and Badische Stahlwerke, Freudenberg group, Infraserv Höchst, Mainova, Messer, Schott, Telefónica, Verallia, Vodafone, Wacker as well as ZF. The majority of the contracts will run for a term of ten years. Depending on customer requirements they provide for direct purchase (as produced), scheduled delivery with wind farm profile (as nominated), or delivery structured as a continuous electricity load (baseload delivery). Die RWE Offshore-Windparks Nordsee Ost und Amrumbank West liefern ab 2025 beziehungsweise 2026 grünen Strom an elf deutsche Industriekunden und ein Großstadtwerk. Entsprechende Verträge wurden zwischen RWE Supply & Trading sowie den Badischen Stahlwerken, Bosch, Freudenberg Gruppe, Infraserv Höchst, Mainova, Messer, Schott, Telefónica, Verallia, Vodafone, Wacker sowie ZF unterzeichnet. Mehrheitlich laufen die Verträge über zehn Jahre; sie beinhalten je nach Kundenwunsch eine direkte Abnahme (as-produced), eine Fahrplanlieferung mit Windparkprofil (as-nominated) oder die Strukturierung zu einer konstanten Stromliefermenge (Bandlieferung).
