Salzburger Aluminium Group develops first liquid hydrogen cryogenic tank system for trucks
Experts and vehicle manufacturers agree that hydrogen will be an important alternative fuel in the near future. However, the storage of hydrogen – especially in liquid form – poses a number of technical challenges. The Salzburg Aluminium Group www.sag.at is now using its technological leadership in the field of cryo-tank solutions for LNG-powered trucks (liquid natural gas) to develop the first truck cryo-tank system for liquid hydrogen (LH2). Salzburger Aluminium Group entwickelt erstes Flüssigwasserstoff-Kryotanksystem für LKW
Wasserstoff wird in naher Zukunft ein wichtiger alternativer Treibstoff sein, darin sind sich Experten und Fahrzeughersteller einig. Allerdings birgt die Speicherung von Wasserstoff – vor allen in flüssiger Form – eine Reihe von technischen Herausforderungen. Die Salzburger Aluminium Group nutzt ihre Technologieführerschaft im Bereich Kryotanklösungen für LNG-betriebene LKW (flüssiges Erdgas) nun dazu, das erste LKW-Kryotanksystem für flüssigen Wasserstoff (LH2) zu entwickeln. Eine der größten Herausforderungen dabei ist die extrem niedrige Temperatur von minus 250 Grad Celsius, bei der flüssiger Wasserstoff gespeichert werden muss. Salzburger Alumiunium Group invests millions in new site in Slovakia
As of today, SAG Slovakia – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Salzburger Aluminium Group – will start production at its new site in the SIHOT industrial park near Trencin. The SAG Group invested around 1.5 million euros in the relocation, expansion and extended technical equipment. The new plant is located near the Czech-Austrian border and offers the company, which specialises in special constructions made of metal and aluminium, considerably larger capacities: With an area of 10,365 m2, the new plant will have enough space to adapt to the increasing demand for special parts from manufacturers of special vehicles or the railway industry. SAG investiert Millionen in neuen Standort in der Slowakei
Ab heute wird SAG Slovakia – 100 % Tochter der Salzburger Aluminium Group – am neuen Standort im Industriepark SIHOT bei Trencin die Produktion aufnehmen. Rund 1,5 Millionen Euro investierte die SAG Group in Übersiedlung, Ausbau und erweiterte technische Ausstattung. European Automotive Industry supplier SAG expands in Canada and North America
The Salzburg Aluminium Group (SAG), Europe based market leader in aluminum tanks for trucks and leading manufacturer of lightweight components for the automotive industry, is expanding with the opening of sales offices in Toronto/Canada and Charlotte/US. The company automotive supplier is now present in 12 locations in Europe and North America. SAG has already been active on the Pan-American market for about ten years from two production sites in Mexico. With about 400 employees, SAG Mexico has supplied major American car manufacturers such as General Motors, Chrysler and Ford with tanks and aluminum components.
