Televisionsklub and SES Extend Partnership for TV Distribution of Satelio
Satellite TV viewers across sub-Saharan Africa will be able to continue watching German TV channels offered by Satelio in Namibia and Deukom in South Africa announced the TV platform operator and SES, the leading global content connectivity solutions provider. Satelio and Deukom are operated by Deutscher Televisionsklub Betriebs GmbH and broadcasted via SES’s key orbital position at 5 degrees East. Along with a five-year extension, Televisionsklub will upgrade to a full transponder on ASTRA 4A to serve its customers across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on Namibia and South Africa. SES a annoncé aujourd’hui avoir choisi SpaceX comme partenaire pour lancer les quatre satellites O3b mPOWER récemment commandés, destinés à son système de communication en orbite terrestre moyenne (MEO) de nouvelle génération. SES picks SpaceX to launch four additional O3b mPOWER satellites
SES announced today that it has selected SpaceX as a launch partner to deliver the four newly-ordered O3b mPOWER spacecraft of its next-generation Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) communications system. Just like the initial seven O3b mPOWER satellites procured, these additional four satellites will be launched into space on board Falcon 9 rockets from Cape Canaveral. A total of four Falcon 9 rockets will be used to support the deployment of all O3b mPOWER satellites. B-LiFE, SES and GovSat Deploy Mobile COVID-19 Testing Laboratory to Italy
The Piedmont regional government in Italy and healthcare professionals will be using the satellite-enabled mobile Biological Light Fieldable Laboratory for Emergencies, known as B-LiFE, to scale COVID-19 screening operations.
