Laboratorio Control extends its ENAC scope in Feed, Food and Food Additives
Committed to the continuous improvement of its analytical services, Laboratorio Control extends its ENAC (National Accreditation Body) accreditation in the Food and Animal Nutrition sectors. The Molecular Biology Department of the laboratory has successfully passed the ENAC audit which focused on the evaluation of the analytical method for the detection of Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes by real-time PCR in food-related products, swabs and animal feed. At the same time, the Physical Chemistry Deptartment of Laboratorio Control was successfully reviewed in regards to the analytical package for Heavy Metals (Cadmium, Mercury, Lead and Arsenic) under ENAC accreditation in both Feed (complete and complementary) and Food Additives. BAV Institut erweitert seinen Akkreditierungsumfang auf die Nährmedienherstellung und –prüfung
Das BAV Institut aus Offenburg freut sich mitteilen zu können, dass das vor kurzem durchgeführte, achttägige Audit im Rahmen der Akkreditierung nach DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 erneut bestanden wurde. Ein besonderes Highlight dabei ist, dass auch die Nährmedienherstellung und -prüfung nach DIN EN ISO 11133 erfolgreich begutachtet wurde und somit künftig Bestandteil des Akkreditierungsumfangs des BAV Institutes ist. Neben der DIN EN ISO 11133 werden bei der Nährmedienherstellung und -prüfung Arzneimitteluntersuchungen, die Vorgaben des Europäischen Arzneibuches sowie die entsprechenden GMP-Anforderungen berücksichtigt. BAV Institute extends its scope of accreditation
The BAV Institute from Offenburg is pleased to announce that the recently conducted eight-day audit within the scope of accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 was passed successfully again. A special highlight is that also the culture media production and testing according to DIN EN ISO 11133 has been successfully assessed and will be part of the accreditation scope of the BAV Institute in the future. In addition to DIN EN ISO 11133, culture media production and testing takes into account drug testing, the specifications of the European Pharmacopoeia and the corresponding GMP requirements. For a healthy diet and the functionality of biological processes, humans and animals need amino acids. Laboratories often face the problem of challenging analysis when determining the correct content of amino acids in food and feed. Amino acids (AA) are organic molecules that contain both a carboxylic -COOH and an amino -NH2 functional group. In biochemistry the term amino acids usually refers to L-α-amino acids in which the -COOH and -NH2 group are bonded to the same (alpha-) carbon atom, with L-stereoisomer configuration.
