Zero EC awarded as one of the “TOP 20 Semiconductor Tech Companies in Europe”
Zero EC, a deep-tech startup based in Vaumarcus, Switzerland, has been awarded by Semiconductor Review Europe as one of the TOP 20 Semiconductor Startups which are “the forefront of providing Semiconductor solutions and transforming businesses in the region”. Zero EC introduces a fundamental new technology to the industry, using fundamental research that originated from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Zero EC wins Technology Showcase event at the Connecting Heterogeneous System Summit
Zero EC was honoured with the first place in the Technology Showcase event at this year’s Connecting Heterogeneous Systems Summit, held by the industry association SEMI. In the words of the organizers, this event serves to “highlight some of the newest and most unique product launches in the fields of 3D, heterogeneous integration, MEMS and imaging”. The competing companies were chosen by a jury, and Zero EC was invited to pitch its technology alongside Merck Electronics, Xperia Corporation and Infineon among others. Development of a revolutionary electron prototype
Bar Ilan Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA), Ramat Gan, Israel – created in an unexpected speed a prototype that will revolutionize the approach used in semiconductors. It took only 24 months to come out with the first attempt to combine Zero EC technology within Silicon (a patented technology). The technology allows electrons to be guided in vacuum, reducing the energy dissipated in the tube to practically zero regardless of the distance (about 10-4 pJ/bit in total).
